Αττικές επιγραφές και επιγραφές από την Κέα συμπλέκονται με δραματικό τρόπο και μιλούν μέσα από τις ενότητες της έκθεσης για μεγάλες συμμαχίες (ΕΜ 10397), χρέη πόλεων (ΕΜ 8022α), συνθήκες μεταξύ των Αθηναίων και των Κείων, όρκους, παραβάσεις συνθηκών, καταδίκες και ποινές. [...]\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eΤο τελευταίο μέρος της έκθεσης αποτελείται από μία φωτογραφική παράθεση επιλεγμένων χειρογράφων του Κείου αρχαιόφιλου Κωνσταντίνου Μάνθου (1826-1890). Με πάθος ο Κ. Μάνθος περιέτρεχε το νησί του καταγράφοντας αρχαίες θέσεις, αρχιτεκτονικά μέλη, γλυπτά και επιγραφές. Οι χειρόγραφες σημειώσεις του μαζί με τις επιστολές-εισηγήσεις του στον Γενικό Έφορο των Αρχαιοτήτων για ανασκαφική έρευνα στο νησί αποτελούν στοιχεία σημαντικά για την ιστορία της αρχαιολογίας του τόπου μας.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eΟ επισκέπτης της παρούσας έκθεσης καλείται να χαρεί το λαμπρό αποτέλεσμα της επιστημονικής συνεργασίας του Επιγραφικού Μουσείου με το Κέντρο Ελληνικής και Ρωμαϊκής Αρχαιότητας του Εθνικού Ιδρύματος Ερευνών.
