Το δεύτερο και το τρίτο άρθρο, των ιστορικών της φυσικής Τζων Χέντρι και Νόρτον Γουάιζ, αντίστοιχα, εκφράζουν με αντιπροσωπευτικό τρόπο την πρόσληψη της \"θέσης Φόρμαν\" από την κοινότητα των ιστορικών των επιστημών. Ο τόμος κλείνει με μια πρόσφατη εργασία του ίδιου του Φόρμαν, όπου απαντά στην κριτική που ασκήθηκε στο έργο του από το 1971, όταν πρωτοδημοσιεύθηκε.
