[{"id":141179,"title":"Αγροσυκιά: Ένα οικισμός των προϊστορικών και ιστορικών χρόνων","subtitle":null,"description":"Τα διάσπαρτα ερείπια στο λόφο \"Πελίτι\" ή \"Καστρί\" της Αγροσυκιάς (σήμερα δημοτικού διαμερίσματος του Δήμου Πέλλας) που προκαλούσαν το ενδιαφέρον, ζωντάνευαν στη φαντασία των κατοίκων της περιοχής και δημιουργούσαν θρύλους και παραδόσεις για κρυμμένους θησαυρούς της εποχής του Μ. Αλεξάνδρου, ήταν η αιτία που πολλοί θησαυροθήρες, αναζητώντας την τύχη τους, άνοιξαν λάκκους σε πολλά σημεία του οικισμού και κατέστρεψαν τμήματα τοίχων και τμήμα του πύργου Α στη νότια πλευρά του παλαιοχριστιανικού τείχους. Με τη δυναμική παρέμβαση της ΙΖ' ΕΠΚΑ Έδεσσας από το 1984 και μετά αποσοβήθηκε μεγαλύτερη καταστροφή. Η έναρξη όμως των ανασκαφικών ερευνών στον οικισμό σηματοδότησε και την γενικότερη τοπογραφική έρευνα της άγνωστης έως τότε Βόρειας Βοττιαίας.\u003cbr\u003eΟι δοκιμαστικές τομές που πραγματοποιήθηκαν στον οικισμό από τον αρχαιολόγο υπεύθυνο για την επαρχία Γιαννιτσών Παύλο Χρυσοστόμου σε διάφορα σημεία του οικισμού, είχαν αρχικά ως στόχους τον προσδιορισμό του χρόνου και την διάρκεια κατοίκησής του. Μετά τη διαπίστωση κατά τις ανασκαφικές περιόδους 1984-85, ότι ο οικισμός είχε κατοικηθεί διαχρονικά ήδη από τους προϊστορικού ς χρόνους, κρίθηκε απαραίτητη η συνεργασία με τον Ιωάννη Ασλάνη, ερευνητή στο Ινστιτούτο Ελληνικής και Ρωμαϊκής Αρχαιότητας του Εθνικού Ιδρύματος Ερευνών, προκειμένου να μελετηθεί συστηματικότερα το υλικό της Νεολιθικής Χαλκολιθικής εποχής. Παράλληλα, πραγματοποιήθηκε από την αρχαιολόγο Αναστασία Χρυσοστόμου σωστική ανασκαφική έρευνα στην περιοχή του νεκροταφείου της εποχής του Σιδήρου στη θέση \"Αμπέλια\" βόρεια του οικισμού που συμπλήρωσε έως ένα σημείο τα ευρήματα παραδόσεων της εποχής του Σιδήρου από την ίδια περιοχή.\u003cbr\u003eΗ δημοσίευση των αρχαίων ακίνητων και κινητών ευρημάτων της Αγροσυκιάς που χρονολογούνται στους προϊστορικούς και ιστορικούς χρόνους, είναι αποτέλεσμα συνεργασίας της ΙΖ' ΕΠΚΑ Έδεσσας και του ΙΕΡΑ/ΕΙΕ. Η συνεργασία, που, όπως αναφέρθηκε προηγουμένως, άρχισε μετά τις δύο πρώτες ανασκαφικές περιόδους (1984 και 1985) περιέλαβε επίσης μια διευκρινιστική ανασκαφική έρευνα από τους Παύλο Χρυσοστόμου και Ιωάννη Ασλάνη το έτος 1992. Το 1999 επιχειρήθηκε ακόμα μια ολιγοήμερη ανασκαφική έρευνα από τον Παύλο Χρυσοστόμου, που σκοπό είχε την αποκάλυψη του τείχους της νότιας πλευράς του λόφου και τη διαμόρφωση του αρχαιολογικού χώρου, καθώς και την επιβεβαίωση των ανασκαφικών δεδομένων στο ΝΑ. τμήμα του οικισμού, δυτικά της Πύλης.\u003cbr\u003eΗ επεξεργασία του υλικού έγινε παράλληλα. Ο Ιωάννης Ασλάνης ανέλαβε τη μελέτη του νεολιθικού-χαλκολιθικού υλικού, η Αναστασία Χρυσοστόμου τη μελέτη του υλικού της εποχής του Σιδήρου και ο Παύλος Χρυσοστόμου τη μελέτη του υλικού των ιστορικών χρόνων. Με την ίδια σειρά γίνεται και η παρουσίαση των αποτελεσμάτων. This dimension was the main reason for writing a monograph devoted to the prosopography and onomasticon of Aegean Thrace; lying at the margins of the ancient Greek world, though at the same time at a vital point where different cultures met and made contact, this part of the north Aegean coast, bounded by the lower course of the Nestos and Hebros rivers, attracted peoples of different ethnological origins from an early date. Study of the personal names has much of value to offer for the society and history of the area: the origin of the colonists, the presence of the former inhabitants, the later, sporadic settlement here of Macedonians and Romans, and even matters relating to changes in naming habits or the appearance and dissemination of new religious beliefs. This objective, and the nature of the material itself, which, with very few exceptions, consists of names whose formation is clear and which are already known to scholarship, largely dictated the social and historical rather than philological and linguistic approach adopted in this work. \u003cbr\u003eInvaluable experience in the assembling and study of the material was gained from my participation in the publication of the Greek and Latin inscriptions of Aegean Thrace, recently completed by the north Greek programme of the Centre for Greek and Roman Antiquity, under the direction of Prof. Louisa D. Loukopoulou and in collaboration with the XIX Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities of Komotini. This work made it possible not only to assemble the onomastic material found in inscriptions from the region -which, in Aegean Thrace, as in most areas of the ancient world, are a valuable source of relevant information- but also to check the readings at the primary level, on the stone itself.
